Exercise Physiologists are highly qualified health professionals who assess and design a scientifically based, safe and specific exercise program to assist with improving and maintaining your physical health and well-being.
They assess, help prevent, treat and manage a number of injuries and conditions through the use of exercise as medicine.
Exercise Physiologists often work closely with your GPs, specialists and other health clinicians to help prevent and/or manage your injury or condition, and help you achieve your goals. Some of the injuries and conditions may include:Improve strength and endurance after injury

A typical session with our exercise physiologist varies depending on your needs, goals, condition or injury. A typical session may involve:
Assessing your injury and/or condition and needs
Discussing your medical and exercise history
Working with you to set achievable and realistic goals
Developing a treatment, management or prevention plan that will consider lifestyle, physical activity and general health
Our initial Exercise Physiology appointment times are 45 minutes.

No, you don't need a referral to see any practitioners at Eureka Osteo. All you need to do is call us on 5333 2232 to make an appointment.

During the first consultation your exercise physiologist will take a detailed case history including past medical history.
This will be followed by a physical examination that involves assessing joint range of motion, strength, endurance, flexibility, co-ordination and balance.
You will then receive a treatment plan and often a home exercise program. You may also be advised about posture, stretching, general exercise or dietary advice to improve your body's health and function.
We are able to refer you to medical and other allied health providers if necessary. -
Loose comfortable clothing is ideal to wear to your appointment as you will be doing movements and exercise.

People with 'extras' cover as part of their private health insurance are able to claim a portion of their treatment costs. We have the HICAPS facility so people with private health are able to claim on the spot and only pay the remaining gap. This fee varies with each insurer.
