The Eureka Pilates difference - have you noticed?

In the 6 years that we’ve been offering Pilates classes, the awareness and popularity of this great form of exercise has boomed. Across our Ballarat and Buninyong Studios we have a variety of instructors, all with their own style, experience, training and personality. No matter which class you choose, we continue to be passionate about small classes, safety, injury prevention and appropriate modifications for your body.

As a local independent business, our instructors are free to plan their own classes and choose their own music. We encourage you to try a few different instructors and figure out which class is your favourite, or mix and match!

Key Differences with Eureka Pilates:

  • Smaller class sizes: less people in your class means you get more attention and instructors can provide you with feedback on your form and modifications to exercises when needed. Less people in a more spacious studio means that we can safely supervise every person.

  • Structure and Sequences within classes: we have both modern and traditional Pilates trained instructors giving more variety to our classes. Try different instructors out and experience a different flow in various classes. Some will push you harder with heavy springs and others will challenge your control and balance. You will always find your class run by an instructor who is passionate about Pilates and helping you get the most out of your time in class.

  • Equipment: our studios have a great range of regularly maintained and cleaned equipment. This includes not only our reformers, but Pilates circles, jump boards, balls, hand weights and lots of other bits and pieces that we get creative with.

  • Instructor Training: our instructors have completed a variety of Pilates training and are all extremely experienced. This variety does mean there are some differences but we think this can allow individuals to find the style they like best, or experience a variety by attending classes with different instructors. It also keeps it interesting! Our instructors here undergo regular professional development so their skills, knowledge and experience are always growing.

  • Ability to cater to all levels: We have a range of classes ranging from Beginner Reformer Pilates and Clinical Exercise Classes, through to Dynamic Reformer Pilates. Our instructors are all experienced at modifying exercises to suit your ability. You will be amazed at the amount of ways they can make an exercise easier or harder! You will notice that many of them “layer” exercises, allowing you to stay at a comfortable level if needed, or to add on extra components if you’re ready for a challenge.

  • Supported by a team of clinicians: If an injury or niggle does prevent you from attending class, we have a team of osteopaths, physiotherapists, remedial massage and exercise physiology ready to help. Your instructor can communicate with your clinician and guide you on your return to Pilates. If you need to ease back into reformer classes gradually, your clinician might recommend Clinical Exercise classes.

  • Clinical Exercise classes: you will find our physios and one of our osteos taking classes where your program is tailored specifically for your rehab, mobility, balance and strength needs. These Clinical Exercise classes are a great option if you have and injury or individualised exercise or rehab goals and wish to claim using your private health insurance. In these classes you have your own personalised program and can go at your own pace.

We look forward to welcoming you into our Eureka Pilates Studios so that you can feel the benefits!
